Michail Antonio returns to full West Ham training ahead of Villa clash – report

West Ham United forward Michail Antonio has returned to full training after his injury, according to Claret and Hugh.

The reliable club source has shared on their website that Antonio should play some part against Aston Villa on Monday evening.

The striker has been missing with another hamstring blow, and Sebastien Haller has taken his place at the London Stadium since.

Haller scored against Sheffield United over the weekend and impressed after a couple of poor performances in the absence of Antonio.

David Moyes will now have a decision to make against Villa.

Antonio has been in full-contact training with the rest of the squad and has faced no new problems upon his return.

It was a smart decision by the Irons to keep him out, with this injury recurring far too many times during this season.

Antonio has been superb since the start of last season.

Moyes has unleashed the 30-year-old has a central striker, and he has reaped the benefits ever since then. If anything, his absence has proved how much he does for this side.

Haller has done a job, but the Hammers miss the mobility and physical presence of Antonio in the final third.

No one has a better WhoScored average match rating in the Irons squad. The 30-year-old has attempted more shots per game than anyone, and only Arthur Masuaku has completed more dribbles.

This is a massive boost for the Irons, and Moyes will be tempted to throw him straight into the side against Villa on Monday.
