The representatives of Maxwel Cornet are now on the verge of finalising his personal terms with West Ham United, according to Dharmesh Sheth.

It has been reported by the Sky Sports journalist that the Ivorian international has now finalised his medical at the club and the announcement is now imminent.

As things stand, it looks as though the Irons have missed the deadline to register Cornet in time to make his Premier League debut for the club against Manchester City.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Sheth shared the latest with the move now on the verge of being completed at the London Stadium.

“Maxwel Cornet has completed his medical ahead of his £17.5m move to West Ham United from Burnley,” he wrote.

“Cornet’s representatives now finalising personal terms.”

Here We Go.

The final details of the personal terms will likely include bonuses for hitting certain goals and milestones with the club including appearances and goals.

David Moyes will be delighted to get this one over the line, after admitting that Cornet has been in the building for hours now after travelling down to London late last night [04 August].

West Ham United have found it hard to bring a new left-sided player to the club, with the deal for Filip Kostic at Eintracht Frankfurt nothing short of a joke at this stage.

Cornet will be able to fill that void, as well as giving us the option to play him as a winger and even a central striker if needed at times in games this season and beyond.

A five-year contract has been suggested elsewhere, so it is great to see the club tying down such talent for many years, with this bargain move set to go through at any minute today.
