West Ham United are filming their media obligations with Maxwel Cornet ahead of his potential announcement today, according to Ryan Taylor.

The Express journalist has reported that the announcement is imminent with most of the medical being finalised on Thursday evening in London.

It comes after the Irons finally reached an agreement with Burnley to pay the £17.5million release clause of the Ivorian international after relegation last season.

Writing on his personal Twitter account in the past 24 hours, Taylor shared what should be happening today ahead of the move being made official.

“Maxwel Cornet deal all agreed between West Ham & Burnley,” he wrote.

“Fee is £17.5m release clause. Medical this evening [Thursday 04 August] in London but media duties for potential announcement expected to take place on Friday [05 August].”

West Ham United are getting a deal done without any hiccups it seems, who would have thought that would ever be possible given our recent track record?

Cornet will be an excellent signing for David Moyes, with the Ivorian capable of playing in numerous positions, all of which are in this five-at-the-back formation.

Moyes can use the jet-heeled attacker at left wing-back, upfront and on the wing in general, with three potential outcomes of this signing making it very smart.

Even with Burnley being relegated, Cornet proved that he can take the Premier League by storm, and with a much better squad surrounding him – he could cause real damage.

With the final details being filmed, we hope this one is announced in the coming hours, and even better, was registered time for him to feature against Manchester City.

All eyes are currently on social media as we wait for this one, bring it on.
