Martin Keown delivers fresh West Ham relegation verdict after what he has seen – ‘Miracle’
West Ham have done well to keep themselves within touching distance of their fellow relegation rivals in the Premier League.
Nuno Espirito Santo guided West Ham to a 2-0 success over Burnley on Saturday, as Axel Disasi shone on his debut in what was a must-win game for the Hammers.
Crysencio Summerville brought out his inner Jesse Lingard, as he continued his tremendous goalscoring form for the E20 outfit as well.
Overall, it was an excellent day for the Irons, and spirits are sure to be lifted ahead of another crucial game against Manchester United.
Now, ahead of Tuesday, Martin Keown has chimed in and given his updated verdict on how the relegation battle will end this season.
Martin Keown issues West Ham relegation prediction
If West Ham had lost to Burnley, surviving relegation may have been out of the question.
It would have left them six points from safety, and a run of difficult fixtures is coming up over the next few weeks.
However, they managed to get the win over the line, and their prospects are looking much better, but Keown is not too confident about the Hammers.
Speaking live on talkSPORT on Monday, Keown said, “I see West Ham will have the most difficult [schedule]; if they get out of this, it is a miracle.
“Because Sean Dyche puts it together, when you look at it overall, he doesn’t go from game to game, but overall, he has done alright.

“I expect Forest to pull out of trouble, while West Ham have been quite remarkable. I think West Ham don’t get out. I may be wrong, as they are making a good fist of it.”
The Hammers are certainly doing their best to get out of trouble, as Nuno has won three of his last four Premier League games.
However, over the next few weeks, the fixtures do start to get unkind for the East London club. Alan Shearer also believes West Ham will go down, despite the recent uptick.

How do West Ham’s fixtures line up vs Nottingham Forest’s?
West Ham’s remaining games are not ideal when they need to start racking up points.
In the 13 games left, the Hammers face eight of the current top 10 teams, including both Arsenal and Manchester City, while they face just one of the bottom two.
Over at the City Ground, hopes may be slightly higher. The Tricky Trees come up against seven of the top 10 teams, with two of their remaining 13 games coming against the bottom two.
Forest have already played Arsenal twice this season, but they still have Manchester City.
Overall, with a three-point advantage, Nottingham Forest will be keeping positive, looking at the list of fixtures.
Perspective could shift once again if Nuno can pull off a shock win against an in-form Manchester United on Tuesday night, with anything now possible.
