Mark Noble ‘pretty sure’ that David Moyes will be offered new West Ham contract

West Ham midfielder Mark Noble has lifted the lid on his relationship with David Moyes and claims that the Hammers will want to keep the Scot around for years.

The Irons have been in excellent form this season and the club has thrived under the leadership of Moyes during his second spell at the London Stadium.

The former Everton boss is out of contract in the summer but Noble believes that the club will offer Moyes a new deal.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, Noble said, “I’m pretty sure the club will want to keep him here for definitely longer than the next few years.

“For me, he’s been in the game so long and I’ve played against him so many times in my career that he knows me very well. We’ve got a great relationship.

“The day he came back, he rang me and said ‘Mark can you come and see me?’ and he said ‘look, I’m going to need your help’. We had a great relationship the first time he was here and that’s carried on.”

Moyes is an experienced manager and he will have known to speak to the senior players at West Ham when he first joined.

Those experienced players can give new managers plenty of tips about the club and the players and it seems that this is the case at West Ham.

Moyes seems to be a very popular figure and the squad are performing so well under him they must believe in the style that the Scottish manager brings.

Even though Noble isn’t a regular starter at the London Stadium he is still a very influential member of the Hammers squad and his endorsement of Moyes will do the Irons boss no harm.

It is great to see a manager who is so loved by the players after years of discontent before Moyes came back for a second spell.

In other West Ham news, one alarming stat has shown how Moyes’ poor team selection cost the Hammers v Brighton.
