Mark Noble could be back in West Ham squad for Leeds clash

West Ham could have Mark Noble available for today’s Premier League clash against Leeds United, according to ExWHUemployee.

The reliable Hammers insider claimed on the West Ham Way Patreon that a late decision is set to be made on the defensive midfielder ahead of the Whites’ trip to the London Stadium.

Noble was initially tipped to spend almost four weeks on the injury sidelines, but the knock is not as severe as first feared, and David Moyes could throw him into action against Leeds.

Good news

West Ham are already without Tomas Soucek, who has since taken to his personal Twitter account, to confirm that he is out of Sunday’s game.

That leaves Declan Rice as the only trusted senior team option in defensive midfield.

Alex Kral has only played a minute of Premier League football since joining the Hammers on loan from Spartak Moscow, and trusting him against such a tough opponent could be risky.

Conor Coventry has been recalled from his loan, but he is likely to be sent out again temporarily.

Despite making 12 Championship appearances for Peterborough United, the 21-year-old might not have done enough to be included in the starting XI, and Moyes will be glad to have Noble back.

It remains to be seen what the final decision will be, but West Ham could do with their skipper back for such an important clash.

They need to pick up all six points and keep their top-four hopes alive, and the best players are needed for the task.
