Mark Lawrenson predicts West Ham United clash v Leicester City in Premier League
West Ham will claim three crucial points against Leicester City in the Premier League this weekend, according to pundit Mark Lawrenson.
David Moyes welcomes an in-form Foxes side to the London Stadium on Saturday, with a win desperately needed to help climb the table in their last game before the World Cup winter break.
Lawrenson – who was writing his weekly football tips for Paddy Power – predicted a cagey 1-0 win for The Hammers, who currently sit 15th in the league table and arrive on the back of consecutive defeats to Crystal Palace and Blackburn Rovers.
He said: “West Ham need a win. Leicester won last week and they look to be turning it around.
“Things are getting a bit restless at West Ham so they need something.”
Three points a necessity

The pressure is slowly ramping up on Moyes after a slightly underwhelming start to the campaign, so three points here are dearly needed.
Following a summer spending spree of £182 million, including the marquee signings of Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca, many fans expected their side to be pushing for the European positions for the third season running.
But considering they now lie one place behind Brendon Rodgers’ side, who themselves fell under immense scrutiny just a few weeks ago, this match holds increased significance.
A win for Moyes isn’t out of the question, as although recent results may suggest a team without confidence, the performances haven’t been dreadful.
The team were a stoppage-time winner from Michael Olise and a missed penalty away from a completely different outlook, and I think the Scot will finally claim the three points his side has deserved in recent weeks.
