West Ham United: Ian Wright a big fan of what Mohammed Kudus did v Manchester United
Ian Wright is a big fan of the celebration he saw from West Ham ace Mohammed Kudus against Manchester United earlier in the season.
Kudus sat on the advertising hoardings after putting the Irons 2-0 up in December’s Premier League clash at London Stadium.
However, that celebration was rammed down Kudus’ throat as Alejandro Garnacho copied it in Man United’s 3-0 win on Sunday (4 February).
It was the original version that caught Wright’s attention, though.
“You know what I love about that celebration, the Kudus one? Everyone’s just taken it,” he said on Wrighty’s House podcast [5 February, 12m 2s].
“I love that. It’s got such a cool vibe about it. It’s brilliant, just brilliant.”
West Ham humbled at Old Trafford
The loss to Man United was a tough one to take in what was a role reversal of the contest at London Stadium a little over a month ago.
Some have suggested Garnacho’s celebration was actually copying one of Cristiano Ronaldo’s from the Portuguese’s days at Old Trafford.
However, the fact he did it against West Ham makes it more than a little coincidental. Unfortunately, it is one of those you have to suck up and take.
Kudus has not scored for United since that match before Christmas, although he has admittedly spent time away on Africa Cup of Nations duty.

That defeat at Old Trafford leaves David Moyes’ side winless in six games this calendar year – a run they desperately need to rectify.
While the loss at the weekend was a setback, it must be remembered that there is still an awful lot to play for this season.
And with Man United two points better off in the Premier League, let’s just hope it is Kudus and his team-mates who have the final laugh.
In other West Ham news, a report has shared the Irons’ stance on David Moyes with his contract still due to be up in the summer.
