Lukasz Fabianski could be offered West Ham extension
West Ham may offer a one-year extension to goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, according to Claret and Hugh.
The 36-year-old’s current contract at the club expires at the end of the season, and he is in line to possibly get another year added to it.
Despite signing Alphonse Areola, it seems that the Hammers are not a hundred per cent sure as to whether or not the time to part ways with the recently-retired Poland international has come.

Should stay
The time to change the guard may have arrived, but it would be nice to have Fabianski on as the second-choice goalkeeper for next season.
Assuming Areola signs permanently, he would want game time and Moyes would either have to let him go or make certain promises to him.
There were also links with West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone and even his deal is expiring come the end of the season.
Whichever current first-choice keeper walks through the door next summer, he is going to want regular playing time and it seems like this is Fabianski’s last season being the West Ham number one.

He’s already in his mid-30s and it will be interesting to see whether he still feels he can continue playing at the top level week in, week out.
A move to another Premier League or Championship club may also be in the offing for Fabianski and it will be wise for him to keep his options open.
