Lucas Paqueta congratulates Endrick on Olympique Lyon move
Niclas Fullkrug is on the verge of joining AC Milan after weeks of speculation, with the Hammers now looking for a new striker.
Real Madrid’s Endrick was linked to the London Stadium ahead of January, but after a finalised transfer from Los Blancos, West Ham will not be signing the number nine.

The Hammers signed Paqueta from Olympique Lyon back in 2022, and after Endrick‘s confirmed move to the Ligue 1 side, the West Ham man has congratulated his international team-mate on Instagram.
Paqueta wrote: “Come on, little one,” with love heart emojis in the colours of Olympique Lyon’s home kit.
With Nuno Espirito Santo desperate for new additions in January, striker targets have been filed down after the latest on Endrick.
West Ham’s striker targets
Endrick and Fullkrug are two completely different types of strikers, and the 19-year-old would have offered Nuno a very different number nine option.
However, West Ham may have dodged a bullet with this one, as there’s no way of telling if the Real Madrid man would have been able to cope with the Premier League’s demands.
Nuno is interested in a move to sign Chris Wood from his former club, Nottingham Forest, and the 34-year-old is someone who can deal with England’s top flight.
The Hammers have stepped up their interest in Artem Dovbyk in recent days, with the Ukrainian another tall target man, similar to Wood.
It’s quite possible that the West Ham boss was never a fan of the potential signing of Endrick, with physical forwards now being identified instead.
