Lucas Paqueta role in Luis Guilherme West Ham United transfer explained
Luis Guilherme spoke to Emerson Palmieri, Lucas Paqueta and Luizao before signing as a West Ham United player, according to ESPN.
The online source reported [13 June] that Emerson gave tips and advice to the 18-year-old via Instagram, while Paqueta and Luizao reassured the Palmeiras teenager over the move to the Premier League.
It is understood that the Brazilian trio had a very telling say in Guilherme completing a move to the Hammers, having put pen to paper on a five-year contract on Thursday 13 June. [West Ham United]

The aforementioned trio will have had plenty of life lessons, experiences and stories to share with the exciting winger, with all three in different parts of their footballing career.
Of course, Paqueta is in a difficult situation currently but is still seen as one of the biggest stars at the London Stadium, while Emerson has cemented his spot in the starting XI.
Luizao, on the other hand, signed for the club in December 2022 on a free transfer and has yet to make his breakthrough into the senior squad, despite being 22 years of age.
He is still playing his football for West Ham Under-21s, but will likely be hoping to be trusted with a positive step forward, possibly joining Guilherme in the senior squad next season.
The Palmeiras youngster is an extremely exciting prospect, so Tim Steidten must be praised for his scouting expedition in South America, but his development must be treated carefully.
Guilherme’s lack of experience outside of Brazil may be a concern to some, which will make Emerson and Paqueta’s roles hugely important in the youngster’s journey to the London Stadium.
With 45 senior appearances for Palmeiras already at 18 years of age, though, Julen Lopetegui will hope he can throw the youngster into the deep end next season.
