Lucas Paqueta missing from West Ham United squad v Fulham due to injury – ExWHUEmployee
West Ham United playmaker Lucas Paqueta picked up an injury in the Premier League 5-1 defeat to Newcastle on Wednesday (5 April), according to ExWHUEmployee.
The Hammers attacker was missing from David Moyes’ squad to take on Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday (8 April) at Craven Cottage.
Taking to Twitter prior to the game (8 April), ExWHUEmployee shared an update on Paqueta’s fitness when asked by a fan if the Brazilian was out injured.

He wrote: “Yes he got an injury against Newcastle.”
Crushing blow
If there wasn’t enough pressure on Moyes as it was, the injury to Paqueta increased this significantly.
Although the Brazilian hasn’t been anywhere near his best for the Hammers this season since making his marquee move to the club, there is no doubting he is a game-changer.
In last weekend’s victory against Southampton, Paqueta was instrumental and finally looked like he was adjusting to the physicality of the Premier League.
However, this ill-timed injury leaves West Ham United in a big predicament.
Moyes will be hoping that it isn’t too serious and that he can return for the club’s relegation fight over the coming weeks.
With the first leg of West Ham’s Europa Conference League quarter-final against Gent starting next week, the Irons boss needs every player at his disposal to navigate this stacked calendar.
The club’s schedule over the coming weeks is ludicrous, and the length of Paqueta’s time on the sidelines could determine how successfully they manage to come through it.
