Darren Bent leaves talkSPORT co-host amazed with statistic ahead of Liverpool vs West Ham match
Andy Goldstein was left surprised after Darren Bent informed him of just how badly West Ham have fared against Liverpool down the years.
The Irons travel to Anfield on Wednesday evening (20 December) with a place in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup on the line.
United have won just once away at Liverpool in the last 60 years – a 3-0 Premier League victory in August 2015.

Previewing the game on talkSPORT [20 December, 17:43pm], Bent said: “Their last win there was 2015. They’ve won one of the last 15 overall.”
Goldstein replied with “wow” and asked Bent for his score prediction, which the former Tottenham striker responded: “2-0 Liverpool”.
Put the record straight
West Ham could not have been given a worse draw in the last eight of the EFL Cup.
Having beaten Arsenal 3-1 at home in the last round, the Hammers would have loved to have had a nice, winnable fixture in the quarters..
On the basis of the past 60 years, though – and that is a seriously long time – you cannot fancy West Ham’s chances of advancing any further.

Whether it is home or away, United have lost 12 of their last 15 meetings with the Reds in all competitions, winning just one of those.
Then again, that latest Anfield victory will be all the more sweeter when it does eventually arrive, especially for David Moyes as he has never won there.
If West Ham go full strength – and there is every indication they will do so – then this could be the night that they set that terrible record straight.
