Liverpool predicted XI v West Ham: Slot to axe forward as Salah call made

West Ham will be back in action on Sunday against Liverpool as they look to get back to winning ways.

It has been a tough spell for Graham Potter’s men, who are continuing to adjust to life under a new manager partway through the season.

Potter has managed to successfully guide West Ham away from the relegation zone, but there is still a small threat of relegation, which he will want to eradicate immediately.

The Hammers will also not want to risk dropping any further down the Premier League table, which places some pressure on their final few games of the season.

Liverpool’s predicted XI is strong

Liverpool have been out of form as of late, winning just one of their past four matches in all competitions, and that’s something Arne Slot will be keen to change.

The Reds are looking to win the Premier League in the coming weeks, but they will not want to risk things dragging on, which is why some changes could be made to the team that started against Fulham for their 3-2 loss.

Alisson Becker could be brought back into Slot’s team for the first time since the international break, where he suffered a head injury, which has kept him out of the team since.

Conor Bradley is expected to start at right-back now he’s back fit, replacing Curtis Jones due to Trent Alexander-Arnold being confirmed to be injured.

Meanwhile, Ibrahima Konate and Virgil Van Dijk should be the centre-back pairing with Andy Robertson at left back.

The midfield trio of Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, and Dominik Szobszlai should remain unchanged, as will Diogo Jota upfront, but Luis Diaz is likely to replace Cody Gakpo.

Fresh from signing his contract extension, Mohamed Salah will round off the team on the right wing as he looks to add another goal to his tally in a bid to celebrate the moment.

West face a tough test to climb the Premier League

It is sure to be a tricky test for West Ham on Sunday, but after four games without a win there is a need for the Irons to get things back on track and not allow the season to slip away from them.

Even though Liverpool are pushing to win the league, their 11-point gap over Arsenal has allowed them to get comfortable, and the Hammers might look to exploit that.
