Liverpool make contact with agent of West Ham sensation over summer move – report

The future of West Ham United defender Jeremy Ngakia seems to change as each day passes.

The Hammers sensation is set to leave the London Stadium at the end of the month after failing to agree terms on a new deal, although David Moyes has not given up just yet.

Moyes handed the 19-year-old 30 minutes in the friendly against Crystal Palace on Saturday, just in case he is needed against Wolves and Spurs.

Ngakia looks more likely to leave as the season restarts, with Liverpool approaching the agent of the defender to discuss his availability.

Read Liverpool have shared that the Reds are one of a number of clubs to enquire what the youngster would like as he prepares to leave East London.

It is unlikely that a move to Liverpool will happen though, with Ngakia’s representatives revealing that their client would like regular first-team football wherever he moves.

Moyes has already revealed his disappointment in the youngster for leaving the club, sharing that he believes it is best for his development if he remains at the London Stadium.

The Telegraph has also reported that a couple of Bundesliga clubs have made offers for the defender, with there a possibility of him following the likes of Jadon Sancho for regular football in Germany.

It’s no surprise that Liverpool are interested, with Ngakia playing both fixtures against Jurgen Klopp’s men this season, but they could be prepared for disappointment in their pursuit.
