Les Ferdinand predicts result of West Ham United v Tottenham live on talkSPORT
Les Ferdinand has predicted that West Ham United will end their five-match run without a defeat in all competitions when they face Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday 7 December.
The former striker who played for both clubs believes that David Moyes’ side will taste defeat for the first time since 4 November when they travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, predicting that Ange Postecoglou’s side will win 2-1.
Tottenham ended a run of three defeats in all competitions with an impressive 3-3 draw with Manchester City last time out and Ferdinand believes that results and the home advantage will give them the edge over the Irons.

Speaking on talkSPORT (5 December, 9:15) he said: “West Ham haven’t lost in five and Tottenham are on the front foot. I know the magnitude of this game and I didn’t actually know it until I went and joined West Ham from Tottenham and then I realised how competitive that rivalry was.
“Tottenham at home, I think they may just edge it at home, so I’m going to go 2-1.”
Not an easy clash
It’s no secret that there’s more than a little bit of needle between these two sides and West Ham will be desperate to bring all three points back from North London to maintain their recent good run of form in all competitions.
While Moyes’ side have continued to pick up points and find results in Europe and the Premier League, their performances have left more than a little to be desired as they have relied on late winners and moments of magic to get over the line.
Ultimately, it doesn’t matter how you win them, as long as you keep picking up points, but supporters will be hoping to see a better display from their side when they take to the field against Postecoglou’s men, especially considering their own recent struggles.

While the draw at the Etihad was an impressive result, Spurs had lost all three of their previous three matches and have conceded 11 goals in their last four matches. The Hammers need to put pressure on Spurs’ injury-ravaged defence as they have leaked goals in recent weeks.
Hopefully, Ferdinand will be wrong and the Irons will continue their recent good run of form as a win could see them move closer to the European places once again.
