Leeds United to follow Newcastle United to sign West Ham United youngster Harrison Ashby
Leeds United are expected to follow Newcastle United to sign West Ham youngster Harrison Ashby, as per ExWHUemployee.
The reliable Hammers source wrote on his Patreon on 1 September that Newcastle have approached the club for official talks, and Leeds are expected to join them to sign the 20-year-old on a permanent deal.
The Magpies are leading the chase at the moment, but David Moyes has other plans.

Ex suggests that the Hammers do not want Harrison to leave, but his contract expires at the end of the season.
The player hasn’t indicated that he will sign a new deal at the club. West Ham would rather loan him out to the Championship and negotiate a new deal for him, while a host of Championship clubs are keen.
Dilemma
Ashby is a promising young talent who has made six appearances for the club already.
He wants to play regularly, and that is something David Moyes cannot offer him at the moment.
The Hammers boss has Vladimir Coufal and Ben Johnson at his disposal, but Ashby can be a reliable back-up option. A move to the Championship would have been ideal for him.
There is no guarantee that Leeds or Newcastle can offer him regular game time at the moment. So, if he decides to leave, he will have to choose his club wisely.

Keeping his contract situation in mind, if West Ham get decent transfer fee for him, they should allow him to go.
Leeds have already signed Sonny Perkins from the Hammers earlier this summer, and chances are high that they could land yet another player from the same club.
Ideally, Moyes would have loved to keep him at the club, but it appears that his future could lie away from the London Stadium before 11pm deadline.
