Kurt Zouma timeline revealed by inside sources at West Ham United
Kurt Zouma went under the knife this month to address his knee injury at West Ham and inside sources have told Claret & Hugh when to expect him back.
The Hammers took a huge risk signing Zouma from Chelsea back in 2021 after discovering a recurring knee injury during his medical in east London.
The club vowed to take special measures to keep the Frenchman fit, but he hobbled off in the first half against Leicester City after feeling uncomfortable before kick-off.

The 28-year-old was then told he needed surgery to fix his recurring knee issue, and West Ham were hoping to have him back fit for the Premier League’s resumption after Christmas.
Claret & Hugh report that insiders from the club insist the surgery was only a “small operation” but that medics are expecting him to return within four to six weeks provided he faces “normal circumstances”.
They add that the club hopes that he could be back immediately or soon after the World Cup break.
Need him back
With Craig Dawson’s future up in the air and Thilo Kehrer and Nayef Aguerd both struggling to settle down at the club, Zouma’s presence in defence will be absolutely vital in the second half of the season.
West Ham have been terrible in the Premier League and find themselves down in 16th, but the only positive from the side has been the defensive record.

Much of that has been down to Zouma, and he’ll be called upon by David Moyes as the Scotsman tries to keep hold of his job at the London Stadium.
Hopefully the small operation helps Zouma’s injury issues and means he’ll be able to string together consistent appearances for the Hammers.
If he’s able to become a mainstay in the side, it could help both Kehrer and Aguerd settle into the defence next to an experienced figure.
