Kurt Zouma seen as danger man ahead of West Ham clash v Frankfurt
West Ham face Eintracht Frankfurt in the crucial semi-final second leg tie on Thursday in the Europa League.
The Hammers trail 2-1 from the first leg, but with the away goal rule scrapped, it brings a fresh opportunity for the London outfit to turn it around.
German newspaper Bild focuses on Kurt Zouma, saying he’s a threat and Frankfurt must stop him.
They have highlighted his shocking cat incident, adding he is “merciless” both on and off the pitch.
Game plan
It remains to be seen how the Hammers approach the game in Germany.
They defeated Lyon 3-0 away from home, and there’s no reason to believe why they can’t produce another top performance tonight.
David Moyes will be pleased with the fact that the likes of Ben Johnson and Issa Diop have returned to fitness, and they can start if required.
Will West Ham adopt a cautious approach? They just need one goal to take the game to the extra time.
Should they look to outscore their opponent? They must take their chances, that’s for sure, but at the same time, staying resolute at the back is key.
Zouma has been rock solid at the back this season, and he is expected to start. It remains to be seen whether David Moyes picks Craig Dawson or Diop alongside him.
Frankfurt are an adventurous side and they are smart on the counters.
