Kurt Zouma likely to appear in court as West Ham cat-kicker faces prosecution

Kurt Zouma is likely to appear in court after the RSPCA confirmed the West Ham defender is facing prosecution, according to London Evening Standard journalist Jack Rosser.

Zouma, 27, had his pet cats seized in February after the French international was videoed kicking one of them.

He’s apologised but has also been fined two weeks’ wages by the Hammers and now looks as though he could be set for a date in court, based on Rosser’s tweet.

Sickening

It’s crazy that in all of this madness, Zouma has been allowed to continue playing football.

He’s missed just one Premier League game since the incident came to light which is when he was apparently too ill to play against Leicester on 13 February.

David Moyes and the club, while refusing to condone his behaviour, haven’t really done much to punish the player.

Two weeks’ wages for Zouma is nothing, really. He’s already made back the money he’s missed out on and more so it’s not like that £250,000 will be missed by the former Chelsea player.

Has he given up any of his own money to charity off his own back? Has he properly apologised? Was it him who gave his cats up or were they taken from him?

Zouma has dragged this club’s name through the mud in the last month and a half and we’re still really not happy with the centre-back staying on board.
