Kurt Zouma certain to be fit for West Ham United after World Cup break
Kurt Zouma is almost “certain” to be fit for West Ham when Premier League football returns after the upcoming World Cup break, according to Claret and Hugh.
The French defender was forced off in the first 15 minutes of West Ham’s 2-0 loss to Leicester City on Saturday (12 November).
The reliable Hammers website have revealed (13 November) that Zouma wasn’t comfortable before the fixture having felt his knee in the warm-up.

However, it’s understood that the 28-year-old should be fine with there now being an extended break before their next fixture against Arsenal at The Emirates.
Good news
West Ham fans will be glad to hear that Zouma’s injury is not too serious. The Frenchman has made himself a stalwart of the Hammers’ defence. Nayef Aguerd is still finding his feet in East London and is probably not the first choice at the moment.
David Moyes desperately needs to find some consistency and clean sheets with the Irons desperately short of form. The Scot is coming under increasing pressure with his side in 16th place in the Premier League standings. The board are understood to be behind the West Ham boss (BBC Sport, 13 November).

The World Cup break seems an excellent time to make a change in the dugout, with a new manager having time to come in and work on the training ground beforehand. Considering the money that was spent in the summer, the Hammers are massively underperforming.
If Moyes is the man to turn things around he must begin by making the Hammers far more solid defensively.
