Kaveh Solhekol believes West Ham have money to strengthen this summer

Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that West Ham have the money in their kitty to back David Moyes to strengthen the squad this summer.

In a Sky Sports article analysing West Ham’s plans for this window, Solhekol wrote, “Moyes will be given money to spend again this summer and his record in the transfer market has been so good since he returned to the club that it would be no surprise to see him find more quality players such as Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal at affordable prices.

“West Ham’s most pressing need is for a new forward to take some of the pressure off Antonio. Moyes knew it was a gamble not to sign a forward in January and although he had a budget of £20m he preferred to keep it to spend this summer.

“Moyes will focus on strengthening at centre-back, left-back, and up front.”

The Hammers have been linked to an array of strikers and seems like they want to get that one over the line before the Euros begin.

Jesse Lingard is also wanted by the Hammers, and Manchester United are willing to part ways with him for a fee of £30m.

However, with only one year left in his deal, it remains to be seen what the Hammers hierarchy decides.

Excitement building

Moyes’ transfer record, as mentioned by Kaveh, has been exceptional thus far so there’s no reason that the clubs don’t give him the tools needed to succeed.

He’s signed some quality players on the cheap and we’re expecting something similar this time around.

While the Sky article doesn’t talk about it, we’re also likely to sign a midfielder. Alex Kral is reportedly favoured by the club and could be available for £30m.

If we get four or five signings in the right areas and keep hold of Declan Rice, there’s a very high possibility of us not only challenging but also finishing in the top four next season.
