Karren Brady launches bizarre rant while Graham Potter sack saga unfolds – ‘Some sort of joke’
West Ham announced the sacking of Graham Potter on Saturday morning ahead of their Premier League game against Everton on Monday.
Pressure was mounting on Potter at West Ham as his future has looked uncertain over the past couple of weeks.
West Ham’s 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace proved to be the final nail in the coffin for Potter, as the trigger was pulled on the former Chelsea boss.
Nuno Espirito Santo has been linked to West Ham in recent days. Still, as speculation grows, questions about where Karren Brady‘s attention has truly been during this critical period for the club are asked.

Karren Brady’s Ballon d’Or outburst was terrible timing amid Graham Potter desicion
At a time when West Ham as a whole needed full focus from their hierarchy amid a huge managerial decision, vice-chairman Brady has shown none of it.
Brady’s latest column in The Sun on Saturday, hours before Potter’s exit was confirmed, took aim at the Ballon d’Or ceremony and the voting system.
“I looked at the voting for 2023 and could hardly believe my eyes as Erling Haaland, who scored more goals that season than Sir Keir Starmer has had Cabinet reshuffles, could only finish in second place,” she said.
“Lionel Messi got the nod, even though he spent some of that season playing in the American pre-retirement league for Inter Miami. That has got to be some sort of joke.”
Considering what has been going on at West Ham in recent times, for Brady to be wound up about this out of everything just comes across as totally bizarre.
Questions have been asked about David Sullivan‘s commitment to West Ham, and Brady’s tone deaf comments have only added fuel to the fire.

Karren Brady’s comments only provide more West Ham uncertainty when clarity is needed
The London Stadium has found success hard to come by since David Moyes’ departure, as decisions from the club’s hierarchy have been criticised for years.
West Ham have shown a clear lack of direction in recent times, and Brady’s comments are just another perfect example of how the hierarchy isn’t all in.

West Ham have been linked to former manager Slaven Bilic as well as Nuno, which has caused further outrage as it only seems the club keeps taking steps backwards.
Now is the time for Brady and Sullivan to get their priorities in check.
