Julen Lopetegui next job update after West Ham sack
Julen Lopetegui is not inclined to take up the vacancy as Belgium national team manager after leaving West Ham, according to Het Belang van Limburg.
According to the print edition of the Belgian news outlet (23 January, sports pull-out page 1), the Spaniard is unlikely to take the job just a couple of weeks after being sacked by the Hammers.
Het Belang van Limburg reported the Belgian FA had investigated the possibility or hiring Lopetegui after they sacked Domenico Tedesco.
Julen Lopetegui not keen on Belgium national team job
Despite his arrival in the summer offering the prospect of more attractive football at the London Stadium, the Spaniard failed to ever get going with his Irons side, which left David Sullivan with little choice but to part ways.
The nature of Lopetegui’s sacking was criticised by many with the opinion that Sullivan was unfair to his manager which meant the boss did come out of it with the respect of some for his handling of the situation.
While the manager will no doubt be glad to be getting job offers through the door after a poor campaign with the East London outfit, it doesn’t seem as though this is the opportunity that will turn his head.

Lopetegui is well aware of the differences between club and international management having previously coached his native Spain and obviously feels now is not the right time to make on another national assignment.
Nevertheless, it appears as though his hugely underwhelming stint in East London has not damaged his reputation too much given the latest reports.
