Journalist: West Ham have tracked Keane Lewis-Potter for a year, could bid in summer
West Ham have been reportedly tracking Hull City’s talented young player Keane Lewis-Potter for over a year.
According to reliable journalist, Dean Jones, the Hammers are monitoring five or six Championship players at the moment, and Lewis-Potter is just one of them.
Tottenham Hotspur are also interested, and it remains to be seen if he will leave during the next transfer window with the club keen to retain his services.
Jones said to Football League World: “The other way to look at it is they (West Ham) want to try and get on board some of the best talent in the country right now and he’s certainly one of those players.
“So he’s (Lewis-Potter) been on their radar for a year, certainly is one they’re going to contemplate at the end of the season, but I’d say that there are probably four, maybe five other players in the Championship right now that they’re looking to sign and he’s just one of them.”

The 21-year-old versatile attacker has been in red-hot form this season, having recorded 11 goals and four assists in 44 league appearances for the Tigers this season.
His performance has kept Shota Arveladze’s side floating in the Championship this season. However, it could be difficult for Hull to prevent him from leaving if the Premier League clubs make an attempt to sign him.
The Hammers boss has previously signed players from the Championship. The likes of Jarrod Bowen and Said Benrahma have excelled in the Premier League, and these are the examples other young players could be following.
Signing an attacking midfielder is key for the Hammers in the summer. Moyes should look to add more quality in the attacking areas, and Lewis-Potter can provide that.
He is a player with immense potential but is far from the finished product. But, surely, Moyes will be looking at other options as well.
