Journalist reacts amid David Moyes sack update as West Ham United make inroads

Toby Cudworth has called out the way West Ham are going about replacing David Moyes who appears set to be sacked.

The 90Min journalist reacted to an update of the Hammers closing in Julen Lopetegui as the new manager.

He believes that the entire situation has been treated like a job advertisement with not enough respect being shown to Moyes.

Via Twitter, Cudworth wrote: “Like David Moyes or loathe him, this #WHUFC job advertisement playing out in plain sight malarkey really isn’t the one. He deserves so much more and so does every fan.”

West Ham need to show David Moyes respect on his way out

Openly advertising the managerial position while Moyes is still in charge shows a lack of respect for his contributions to the club.

Moyes has led West Ham to consecutive European finishes and won a European trophy, achievements that should be recognised and appreciated.

The public nature of the club’s search for a new manager undermines the dignity and professionalism that should be associated with such a high-profile position.

It not only affects Moyes’ reputation but also potentially impacts the morale and stability of the team.

Furthermore, this also highlights the importance of treating individuals, especially those in leadership positions, with respect and consideration.

Regardless of one’s opinion on Moyes’ performance, his tenure at the London Stadium deserves acknowledgement for the successes he has brought to the club.

Hopefully, an announcement will be made by the club that he will be leaving so that he gets the farewell he most certainly deserves.

In other West Ham news, the club have been handed a major boost in appointing David Moyes’ replacement as a manager has made his future intentions clear.
