Jonathan Woodgate drools over West Ham defender Craig Dawson
Jonathan Woodgate has showered praise on West Ham defender Craig Dawson as the Hammers won 2-1 against Everton on Sunday (03 April) in the Premier League.
Dawson made his 24th Premier League start of the season as he partnered Kurt Zouma at the back.
Woodgate has hailed him as a “reliable” defender, and he is impressed by the consistency shown by the 31-year-old centre-back this season.

“Craig Dawson has got to be one of the most reliable centre-backs in the league,” said Woodgate, as relayed by the BBC website.
“He gets the job done week in week out, seven out of ten every week. So reliable.”
Superb performance
The Hammers needed a solid performance to boost their top-six hopes alive.
David Moyes’s side started the game brightly. They created some very good chances with Michail Antonio making some intelligent runs in the box.
However, it needed a spectacular free-kick from Aaron Cresswell to break the deadlock in the first half. Although the visitors restored parity after the break, West Ham showed great determination to take the lead back shortly through Jarrod Bowen.

The victory keeps the Hammers in contention for European places and they will be in full confidence ahead of their Europa League quarter-final clash against Lyon on Thursday.
Dawson has been consistent throughout the season. He has made 40 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals, and providing two assists.
Strong in the air, and a threat from set-pieces, he rightly deserves some praise. He made one tackle and four clearances against the Toffees, as per Who Scored.
