Jim White takes aim at West Ham board agenda after January transfer developments
Jim White has taken aim at the West Ham United board after their failures in the January transfer window last month.
The talkSPORT host shared news of two bids for Kalvin Phillips at Leeds United, and they were batted away instantly.
White shared that West Ham fans were not getting taken in by these reports, with no new signings being brought in.

Speaking live on talkSPORT’s White and Jordan this afternoon (01 February), the host didn’t hold back with his assessment.
“We’re going to touch on the West Ham ‘we tried’ agenda,” he said.
“Yesterday, you [Simon Jordan] had a swipe at Sullivan, maybe Gold, maybe Brady in that we were led to believe that West Ham United had bid £50million, plus add-ons for a second time, for Kalvin Phillips of Leeds United.
“A lot of them were saying ‘we’re not getting taken in by this’ – So, Simon, am I right to say it, to point the finger at the West Ham board this morning and say the fans are fed up of this ‘we tried’ agenda.”

Agenda.
Well, this is a very big shot at the owners, but at this stage, it seems very fair given our failures in the past month.
The money was clearly there, so what was Rob Newman doing? It was his job to find the player for David Moyes, and they left it too late.
If it was GSB or Daniel Kretinsky turning their noses up at some targets, then it would have been their fault, but at this moment, we don’t know that.
We know we are fighting for the Champions League spots, but sometimes you can aim too high, and there is no chance of getting some players, especially in January.
Phillips and Raphinha at Leeds were certainly two of those, and they would be much more realistic in the summer where there was much more time to work with and money to spend.
Let’s just hope that we don’t live to regret the January window.
