Jim White shares what he knows about GSB as West Ham look for deadline busting January transfers

Jim White has shared that the owners of West Ham United are pushing hard to secure January signings in the final week of the window.

GSB have been joined by Daniel Kretinsky at the London Stadium this season, adding more financial ammunition to the table.

Rob Newman has come in to help David Moyes with transfers, although nothing has been finalised with only five days remaining.

Speaking live on talkSPORT White and Jordan (25/01, 11:53 am) the presenter shared what he knows about the owners.

“When you talk West Ham, an enormous amount of messages start flooding in,” he said.

“I think they will, I know the owners are working hard on it, they don’t want the whole thing being fruitless, I think they will [make signings].”

Working hard.

It will be no secret that Moyes will be desperate for some new signings before the deadline hits on Monday evening.

A central defender and a new striker are on the agenda, with the Irons preparing for the Europa League to return.

As well as that, there is still a real chance of finishing fourth in the Premier League with the race wide open, so any new signings could make all the difference.

Defeats against Leeds and Manchester United have been a hammer blow, but it just proves to GSB and Kretinsky that signings are desperately needed to help our depth.

Fingers crossed for some movement soon, with two signings definitely needed before the door slams shut in six days time.
