Jim White shares new Friday development on David Moyes future at West Ham United

David Moyes will still carry on as manager of West Ham if the club are relegated from the Premier League, Jim White said on talkSPORT on Friday morning (31 March).

The boss is under intense pressure in the dugout at the London Stadium, with West Ham currently occupying one of three relegation places.

But even if the club suffer the unthinkable and drop down a division, the latest reports suggest that Moyes will not lose his job.

“I’ve been speaking to somebody in authority at West Ham,” White said on talkSPORT. “The feeling there is what dominates their thoughts at this stage of the season; Premier League survival and winning the Europa Conference League.

“Those are the targets. Staying in the Premier League. But there’s also a feeling that even if West Ham go down, David Moyes would still carry on.”

Worrying times

Whether or not West Ham should sack Moyes has been a constant topic of conversation in recent months, with nobody any the wiser about what is going to happen behind the scenes at the London Stadium.

But one thing that is certain is the fact that the Hammers are in real danger, currently sitting 18th in the table, just one point off the very bottom.

One major point here is that the club should definitely not be in the current situation they are in. The talented squad, the experienced manager, the huge fanbase and the recent campaigns all pointed to West Ham having a strong season once again.

But that hasn’t been the case, with the East London outfit winning just six of their 26 league matches so far.

Saving Moyes from the sack is perhaps the European run the Hammers are currently enjoying, with the Hammers drawn to face Belgian side Gent in the last eight of the Europa Conference League.
