Jim White reacts to new David Sullivan sale claim as West Ham in disarray
West Ham United are starting down the barrel of relegation from the Premier League.
Nuno Espirito Santo is under huge sack pressure at the London Stadium, after failing to guide the Hammers to victory in their last nine games.
West Ham were beaten 3-0 by Wolves last Saturday, handing Rob Edwards’ side their first Premier League win of the 2025-26 campaign.
The East London outfit are now four points adrift of Nottingham Forest in 17th, ahead of their clash with Sean Dyche’s side on Tuesday evening.
Simon Jordan predicts David Sullivan sale
David Sullivan has been urged to sell West Ham by supporters in recent times, with many believing his methods are now outdated.
The fanbase are also furious with the billionaire for the lack of work done to improve the London Stadium, which is currently missing the atmosphere and feeling of a proper football ground.
Sullivan and vice-chairman Karren Brady have faced protests this season, with performances on the pitch adding more fuel to the fire.
Speaking on talkSPORT on Tuesday, former Crystal Palace chairman insisted that Sullivan will be searching for an exit route if West Ham do indeed get relegated.
Jordan said: “It might be that West Ham become a club that are a really good buy if they get relegated to the Championship, because I don’t see Sullivan wanting to be around a club in the Championship.”
Presenter Jim White responded: “Oh I see, so if they drop down, Sullivan might say he’s had enough.”
Who would buy West Ham if David Sullivan sells?
If West Ham are relegated to the Championship, then the overall value of the club will dramatically decrease.
It may be an enticing prospect for potential buyers to secure the Hammers for a cut-price and try to rebuild in the second tier.
Despite all the negativity regarding the London Stadium as a football ground, it is still a valuable asset and could be improved with the right developments.
David Kretinsky would be the natural successor to Sullivan, given the fact that he already holds significant shares in the club.
Kretinsky acquired just over 27 per cent of the East London outfit back in 2021, and is reportedly even wealthier than Sullivan.
