Jim White: Kurt Zouma was driven home before West Ham United draw v Leicester, could play v Newcastle
Jim White has shared that Kurt Zouma was driven back to London before West Ham United battled to a draw against Leicester.
The French international was named in the starting XI, but soon after dropped out due to a supposed illness during the animal abuse incident.
White shared that Zouma will be assessed and will be made available against Newcastle this weekend if the results are fine.

Speaking live on talkSPORT’s White and Jordan this morning, White shared the latest on the ongoing saga.
“Kurt Zouma pulled out during the warm-up, he was apparently feeling unwell,” he said.
“My information was, he was popped in a car and he was driven back to London from Leicester well before kick-off. It’s my understanding this morning, if Kurt Zouma is well enough, he will definitely be in the running to play against Newcastle this weekend.”

Illness?
This seems as though it was the easiest way to get out of playing in a packed out King Power Stadium.
It is going to happen for years now, Zouma will be vilified by every set of supports apart from his own around the country.
If Zouma was unwell, David Moyes would have known about it and likely wouldn’t have named him as a starter in such a big game.
Issa Diop played and was fully fit for the clash, so why wasn’t faith placed in him immediately instead of taking this risk?
Transport was made available immediately based on White’s update, so it looks as though the defender couldn’t get away from Leicester quick enough.
All eyes will now be on that teamsheet against Newcastle.
