Jeff Stelling shares instant reaction to West Ham United footage after win v Fulham live on Sky Sports
Jeff Stelling has shared his instant reaction to footage of West Ham United celebrating their 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday (8 April).
An own goal by Fulham’s Harrison Reed in the 23rd minute of the encounter was enough for David Moyes’ side to nick all three points and put the disappointment of their 5-1 drubbing to Newcastle in midweek behind them.
As footage aired on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday of Jarrod Bowen hugging his West Ham teammates after the final whistle, Stelling offered his thoughts on the win that took the club up to 13th in the Premier League table.

“A big away win for David Moyes and West Ham,” he said.
“It moves them onto 30 points, they move above Leeds United in the table.”

Pressure eased
Although it wasn’t pretty at times, and West Ham fans will still be left with several nagging questions, it is three more crucial points in the club’s fight against relegation.
For large portions of the afternoon, the Hammers were content upon soaking up pressure and allowing the home side to have the majority of the possession, with the 23% share of the ball that Moyes’ side had, evidence of this fact.
Despite being on the back foot for large portions of the encounter, West Ham’s back-line managed to limit Fulham to just three shots on target, compared to their own five.
Moyes won’t care that the win wasn’t an attractive watch. The main thing for the Scotsman was remaining in the dugout for another game, and that is now certainly going to be the case.
West Ham United can now turn their attentions to their upcoming European Conference League quarter-final against Gent next Thursday (13 April) before hosting league-leaders Arsenal.
