Jean-Clair Todibo names his West Ham United ‘MOTM’ after win v Ipswich Town

Jean Clair-Todibo named Jarrod Bowen his West Ham United Man of the Match after their 4-1 win over Ipswich on Saturday (5 October).

The defender commented on the attacker’s Instagram post where Bowen is celebrating the Hammers’ victory at the London Stadium.

Bowen was on the scoresheet against the Suffolk club, along with Michail Antonio, Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta.

Todibo wrote, “MOTM” after his captain was key to West Ham’s triumph.

West Ham United need to keep up their momentum

While West Ham’s start to the season was far from ideal, it feels as if the club may have finally found their feet, or at least, that’s what fans will be hoping anyway.

Julen Lopetegui made many changes to his squad throughout the summer transfer window and targeted key areas that needed bolstering.

Although it took a while for the Frenchman to be put into the squad and cement his place in the first team, now that he’s played alongside the Englishman a couple of times, it feels as if a strong partnership could blossom between them.

Of course, it’s still early in the season for futures to be decided just yet but Lopetegui’s future has already been under scrutiny more than once with the West Ham board even giving him a three-game ultimatum to save his job [GiveMeSport, 24 September].

Following their magnificent win against Ipswich, the Spaniard will likely hope the changes he’s started to implement will work out for his team.
