Jason Cundy clashes with Ian Abrahams live on talkSPORT over Declan Rice West Ham United exit
Jason Cundy has clashed with Ian Abrahams live on talkSPORT after Declan Rice left West Ham United for Arsenal.
The Hammers midfielder has joined the Gunners on a five-year deal worth a club-record £100million plus £5million in add-ons.
And talkSPORT duo Cundy and Abrahams have disagreed about how West Ham will view Rice now that he has left for Premier League rivals Arsenal.

“I can’t wish any player that leaves Chelsea well,” Cundy said live on talkSPORT. “The perfect example is Mason Mount. I loved him at Chelsea, but he’s gone now, he’s no longer a Chelsea player, I can’t wish him well.”
Abrahams replied: “The point you’re missing, and this is why I think you’re mad in what you’re saying, is that it depends on how a player leaves. For example, Chelsea didn’t want to keep Mason Mount, they didn’t offer him a deal that made him feel like he was worth keeping, so that’s why he left.
“Declan Rice is a whole different case completely. He came through as a youth player with us after Chelsea let him go. He’s given absolutely everything. Everybody knew this was his last season at West Ham, there was no great surprise about it.
“He gave everything for the club, didn’t once give a performance I saw that was below par in any way shape or form.”

Well wishes
The majority of West Ham fans will definitely be wishing their former captain fantastic well on his move to Premier League giants Arsenal.
They will, of course, be very upset given how crucial he was for the club and how good his displays have been over the years.
But even the most passionate of Hammers supporters will appreciate that the player deserves this move, and deserves to be playing at the highest level of club football on a regular basis.
Arsenal are definitely on an upwards trajectory, and will no doubt be challenging for silverware under Mikel Arteta for many years to come.
That includes the Premier League and the Champions League, which is not the case for David Moyes and West Ham.
And in one major boost with this deal, the Hammers are getting a huge sum of money for a player that they brought to the club for free.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have pocketed a financial windfall as £160million FIFA news emerges.
