Jason Cundy blown away by Declan Rice vs Poland
West Ham midfielder Declan Rice continued to put in good performances for England and impressed Jason Cundy on Wednesday night.
The Three Lions had to settle for a draw after Poland scored a late equaliser to make it 1-1, but Rice impressed once again at the heart of the midfield alongside Kalvin Phillips.
After the game, Cundy and Jamie O’Hara discussed Gareth Southgate and the entire England squad live on talkSPORT.

Posing a question to the former Chelsea and Tottenham defender, O’Hara said, “What did you make of Rice and Phillips?
To which Cundy responded, “Absolutely brilliant as always.”
Stunning performance
Rice reeks of class each time he steps onto the field of play, be it for club or country.
He is a player who managers can rely on with their eyes closed and more often than not, he will exceed their expectations.
Against Poland, as England were struggling to create telling goal-scoring opportunities, Rice was unnerved in midfield and went about his responsibilities like the scoreline did not bother him.

Not once was he caught out of position or giving away the ball needlessly, despite a physical Polish midfield in his face for most of the game.
He completed 91 percent of his passes on the night and was also pretty pinpoint with his long balls – with six out of eight reaching their desired target. [Sofascore]
Rice also won 80 percent of his attempted ground duels which tells you that he was up for a fight from minute one and deserved to have ended the game on the winning side.
All in all, it was a top performance by the 22-year-old and we’re waiting to see him in action for West Ham this weekend.
