Jarrod Bowen to face fitness test ahead of West Ham United clash v Crystal Palace – The Athletic
Jarrod Bowen is set to undergo a fitness test ahead of the West Ham United clash against Crystal Palace on Sunday (3 December), according to The Athletic.
The news outlet, sharing injury news for each Premier League clash this weekend shares that the England international is set to be assessed ahead of the game at the London Stadium after being left at home for Thursday’s win over Backa Topola in Serbia (30 November).
It was reported [Evening Standard, 30 November] that there is optimism that by sparing Bowen for the midweek trip, he will be fit for the Crystal Palace clash on 3 December.

Hope
The Hammers were smart to leave Bowen out of Thursday’s clash in Serbia and it was a decision which proved ingenious in the end as David Moyes’ men claimed a crucial late victory to seal their spot in the knockouts.
However, Bowen will desperately be needed for Saturday’s game against Palace as they aim to win their third successive league game in a short burst of resurgence for West Ham United in recent games.

Against Burnley, it took West Ham 86 minutes to break down the defence on a day where it looked like it might not happen, and Bowen’s absence was a large part of their struggles and they didn’t have his usual outlet and movement to pick out.
Palace are in a bit of a rut, having failed to win since the start of November and are undergoing a few injury issues of their own with Eberechi Eze and Cheick Doucoure out for a prolonged period so there’s a great chance for the Hammers to seal a much-needed three points.
Bowen is their best chance of achieving that given his tremendous record so far this season, bagging eight goals and one assist in his 12 games. He’s got to be fit and ready for Sunday right?
In other West Ham news, a TNT Sports pundit was left blown away by one Hammers player after what he did in their 1-0 win over Backa Topola, he is “on flames” right now.
