Jarrod Bowen sends thank you message as West Ham United exit now all but complete
Jarrod Bowen has thanked David Moyes for everything he’s done for him while at West Ham.
It’s already been confirmed that Moyes, 61, will be leaving the London Stadium this summer with his contract set to expire at the end of June.
He managed his final game in charge of the Irons on Sunday as Manchester City beat the London club at the Etihad to win the Premier League.
And taking to Instagram on Monday (20 May), 27-year-old Bowen, who scored West Ham’s winning goal in the Europa Conference League final last year, has sent a message of thanks to Moyes for bringing him to the London Stadium and for everything they’ve done together since.
“Thank you for everything boss,” said the ex-Hull forward.
“Thank you for bringing me in to be part of this special club and all the memories we shared together.
“A great manager but an even better person.”
Who will be the next West Ham United manager after David Moyes?
It seems as though the decision has already been made for Julen Lopetegui to succeed Moyes in charge of the East London club.
The 57-year-old Spaniard has been without a club since quitting Wolves at the start of the Premier League season due to financial constraints at Molineux.
He’s previously managed Spain, Porto, Real Madrid and Sevilla and now looks set to add West Ham to that illustrious list of teams.
Fabrizio Romano reported on 6 May that terms have been agreed for Lopetegui to be the next Hammers boss, in a move that some have called disrespectful.

And it’s hard to disagree with that with the Irons holding talks with Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim and then agreeing a deal with Lopetegui before any announcement about Moyes’ future had been made.
He deserved a glittering send-off after making himself one of the greatest West Ham managers in history thanks to winning a European title and also keeping the side in Europe for several years after re-joining them in a relegation battle.
Most West Ham fans would agree with Bowen here in thanking the Scot. We wish him well in what comes next for him after Stratford.
