Jarrod Bowen match day update as West Ham United travel to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United
Jarrod Bowen has travelled with the West Ham squad to face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday, according to Roshane Thomas.
The Athletic journalist reported via Twitter on 21 January ahead of kick-off that the star Irons winger is with the team as he pushes to return from injury.
David Moyes has seen this attacking options majorly depleted, with Michail Antonio already ruled out through January and Mohammed Kudus away at the Africa Cup of Nations, before Bowen and Lucas Paqueta also picked up injury issues.
Both the English winger and the Brazilian midfielder were hurt in the FA Cup draw with Bristol City on 7 January and missed the defeat in the replay.

The importance of Bowen’s availability can’t be understated so the fact that he has travelled presumably means he is fit enough for at least some involvement.
His 14 goals and five assists in all competitions this term have helped West Ham not suffer to heavily for their inability to bring in a striker before the summer transfer window closed.
The Hammers are in need of attacking recruitments this month all the same, which is proving difficult amid differences of opinion between key figures at the London Stadium.
Danny Ings and Divin Mubama have a total of four West Ham first-team goals between them and are both liked to exits, so a striker looks a key priority.
The door has opened for Moyes to finally land Chelsea’s Armando Broja but the more pressing concern will be to get key players back, and none more so than Bowen.
Despite the longer-term fitness issues for Paqueta and Antonio it looks like the club have dodged a bullet with the former Hull winger after fears he could be set for a month out [Standard, 18 January].
If he can return to the line up and the Irons get Kudus back from international duty with Ghana sooner rather than later then it would make a big difference, although signings before the deadline could still be key.
