Jarrod Bowen exit claim made as West Ham face ‘huge problems’

West Ham have made a terrible start to the season as they sit 19th in the Premier League table.

A crisis in unfolding at the London Stadium following West Ham’s 2-0 defeat to Brentford on Monday.

Nuno Espirito Santo has a huge job on his hands, and a loss to Leeds on Friday would raise severe alarm bells over West Ham’s status in the top flight.

Questions are now being asked of Jarrod Bowen‘s future, and with the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, a January exit could be on the cards.

Jarrod Bowen could be primed for West Ham exit amid disastrous run of form

Following their dismal run of form, West Ham are now favourites to be relegated, and if their form continues, Bowen’s future at the club may be in doubt.

Speaking on talkSPORT on 24 October, Charlie Austin and Ray Parlour made bold predictions for the remainder of the Hammers’ season.

Austin said: “I said at the start of the season they’re in it for the long haul. They’re involved in a real scrap, with the three promoted teams, especially Sunderland, performing really well.”

Parlour added: “If West Ham lose Jarrod Bowen, then they’ll have huge problems avoiding relegation.”

Jarrod Bowen’s goalscoring record in all competitions for West Ham

Since joining West Ham from Hull in 2020, Bowen has played a huge part in keeping West Ham in the Premier League, guiding them to European finishes under David Moyes and winning them the Europa Conference League in 2022-23.

Despite being a mainstay of the England team, West Ham’s lacklustre performances could impact his chances of playing in the 2026 World Cup.

Bowen thrived under Graham Potter, and Nuno will have to get the best out of him quickly as he looks for his first win in charge.

Bowen’s importance to West Ham cannot be understated, and it’s imperative that David Sullivan does not let him leave E20.

West Ham could be doomed without club legend Jarrod Bowen

If Bowen were to leave, not only would West Ham need a new captain, but they’d face a huge task trying to replace his output.

With none of their strikers viewed as good enough by Nuno, Crysencio Summerville looks like the only player capable of stepping up in Bowen’s absence.

Bowen’s last-minute winner in the Conference League final will remain in the club’s history forever, and replacing his quality is near-impossible.

West Ham simply cannot afford to be relegated, and fan fury will continue to build if results don’t improve under Nuno.

If Bowen does leave in January or even sustains a long-term injury, then the remainder of the season will be an incredibly long one for West Ham.
