Jamie Carragher suggests West Ham will not finish in Premier League top four
Jamie Carragher has suggested that West Ham will miss out on the Premier League top four yet again.
After the latest rounds of Premier League midweek action, it became very clear that Manchester City and Liverpool will fight for the title. Chelsea are likely to occupy the third spot.
The fourth spot is up for grabs. Carragher is confident that Arsenal will beat Tottenham, Manchester City, and West Ham to clinch the Champions League spot.

Speaking on Sky Sports (16 March), as relayed by The Metro, Carragher said: “The fight for Arsenal is to get into the top-four.
“Forget Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City, Arsenal’s results have been poor against them, but it doesn’t matter what your results are like against certain teams, it’s about how many points you get across the season.
“They’re in a fight with Tottenham, Manchester United and West Ham. When I watch Arsenal tonight, I think they are a better team than United and Spurs, but those teams have individuals who can do special things. Arsenal maybe lack that.
“But I think it looks like a proper team and a well-coached team so I think Arsenal will just about do it.”
Tough fight
The Gunners lost 2-0 against Liverpool on Wednesday night (16 March) at the Emirates.
The defeat has opened up the top four race, with United, Spurs and the Hammers are all vying for that elusive fourth spot.
Currently, Arsenal sit fourth in the table ahead of the weekend fixtures. They are relatively in a better position, with a three-point lead ahead of the Hammers.
Plus, they have at least one game in hand over other potential top-four rivals. It will be a tough fight, no doubt, but Arsenal do have an advantage here.

The Hammers have problems of their own, and a lot will depend on tonight’s game.
If David Moyes’ side manages to get into the last eight of the Europa League, it could affect their domestic form, as balancing both won’t be easy with the squad they have.
On the other hand, if they lose against Sevilla, they will have only the league to aim at, and they can direct all their focus on getting into the top four.
In other West Ham news, Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui has earmarked a number of Irons players as “extraordinary” ahead of tonight’s showdown.
