Jamie Carragher makes West Ham top four prediction
West Ham will find it ‘tough’ to get into the top four, according to Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher after their 2-2 draw with Leicester.
The Hammers blew a 1-0 lead at the King Power Stadium after Jarrod Bowen’s opener, before Craig Dawson scored a late equaliser to earn a point in injury time.
But after dropping points in the race for the top four, Carragher, who was working on Sky Sports as a pundit for the game, thinks the result will make it tough for the Hammers to make it to the Champions League places now.

“I think it will be tough for West Ham to get in the top four,” he said.
“Arsenal, what a win that was for them away to Wolves. The games in hand, no European football.”
“You think about how long Manchester United will be in the Champions League, that could play a part. It feels like it will go to the wire.”
In the hunt
The Hammers being in the hunt for the top four is a huge positive in the first place, never mind actually making it.
Being in the race at this stage of the season tells you exactly how far the club have progressed under David Moyes since his arrival when the club were in the relegation zone.

They currently sit in fourth place in the table but they’ve played more games than everyone else in the race. Arsenal currently have three games in hand and only sit two points behind them in the table.
Moyes and West Ham will need teams around them to falter to stand a chance in the race between now and May, but they also need to find consistency in their own results.
They’ve managed just one win in their last four Premier League games and with the poor results of the teams around them, they could have forged a bigger gap between themselves and the other teams.
