Jamie Carragher makes Liverpool v West Ham U-turn after what Gary Neville said
James Carragher has changed his mind about the clash between Liverpool and West Ham United on Sunday after what Gary Neville told him.
West Ham will be looking for their first win in five games when they travel to Merseyside on 13 April, having lost two and drawn two of their previous four matches.
Liverpool are on course to clinch the Premier League title as they lead the table by 11 points, but there is perhaps no better time to face Arne Slot’s side.
The Reds have seemingly run out of steam, as they have lost three of their four games, including the UEFA Champions League tie with Paris Saint-Germain and the EFL Cup final against Newcastle.

Carragher expects clean sheet in Liverpool v West Ham
Liverpool suffered their second Premier League defeat of the season in their last outing, succumbing to a 3-2 loss against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday (6 April).
West Ham will be determined to take advantage of the Reds’ recent run of form this weekend, but Carragher does not see that happening.
Team | Matches | Wins | Draws | Losses | Points | Form |
1. Liverpool | 31 | 22 | 7 | 2 | 73 | WWWWL |
16. West Ham | 31 | 9 | 8 | 14 | 35 | WLDLD |
Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast (10 April), the Sky Sports pundit predicted a 3-0 win in favour of the home team on Sunday, prompting Neville to raise his eyebrows.
Neville was quick to ask Carragher if he was getting carried away with his prediction, and the former Manchester United star may have been right, as the latter has now changed his verdict.
Predicting the game for Sky Sports’ Super6, Carragher said: “Liverpool have a decent fixture at home after the loss to Fulham, so I think they should come through it. 2-0.”

Graham Potter eyes upset over Liverpool
Graham Potter will be aware of the challenge ahead of him, but will nevertheless be hopeful of causing an upset over Liverpool at Anfield.
Considering their recent run of form, the Reds look vulnerable, and the East London outfit are more than capable of taking at least two points off them.
However, Liverpool could be boosted by Alisson’s return to the starting line-up. The Brazilian goalkeeper missed their last two games, but is edging closer to a return.
