‘It’s hand ball’ – Jermaine Jenas questions law that allowed West Ham goal
Jermaine Jenas was adamant that Craig Dawson’s goal for West Ham should have been ruled out for handball.
The centre-back secured a stoppage time point for the Hammers with his controversial effort from a corner.
The BBC pundit was baffled with the laws that have caused some confusion as to whether the goal should have stood or not.

“It’s handball,” Jenas said on Match of the Day 2.
“I’m struggling to figure out what’s going on here with the game if I’m totally honest with you. It hits [Craig] Dawson on his arm.”
When looking at a hand ball guideline graphic he added: “They’ve managed to create themselves another grey area with handball.
“If the ball hits you on the line between the arm that’s in red and the green part, what’s that?”

Swings and roundabouts
West Ham have been on the back end of enough dodgy decisions this season so they can be afforded one or two to go their way.
The nature of the goal has led some to believe that David Moyes’ side didn’t deserve the point yesterday but considering their first-half performance, the Irons were unlucky not to take all three.
A point was a fair result for both sides, but Leicester are well within their right to feel aggrieved with the late equaliser.
It seems as if the FA are getting bored of football and are making all of these very questionable rule changes to make things exciting.
Handballs being based on the line of a player’s top on his upper arm is ridiculous. Every player’s top sits somewhere else on their arm not to mention how it would be judged if a player is wearing long sleeves.
The law, along with a few others, needs changing for the better of the game.
In other Irons news, Gary Lineker ‘cannot believe’ Craig Dawson’s goal stood for West Ham.
