Injury expert shares West Ham United update ahead of Premier League clash v Arsenal

West Ham United will be without one first-team player for their Premier League clash against Arsenal on Sunday, according to injury expert, Ben Dinnery.

Gianluca Scamacca is still sidelined with a knee problem with the Italian not expected to return until 20 April at the earliest (Premier injuries).

Another concern for David Moyes is Lucas Paqueta. The Brazilian missed the 1-0 win over Fulham and Dinnery rates his chances of playing against the league leaders at “50 per cent”.

Turn up

If there’s a game where West Ham need to raise their performance levels, it’s this one. Arsenal have been the league’s standout team thus far and will be looking to strengthen their grip on top spot with a dominant display on Sunday.

With Manchester City likely to win pretty much every single game, The Gunners can ill afford to slip up between now and the end of the season.

West Ham’s performances have been incredibly disappointing of late, despite Moyes’ men picking up the odd result from time to time. Even the win against Fulham was far from convincing.

The West Londoners had lost three on the spin before the game on Saturday and were perhaps unfortunate not to take a point.

With Everton, Leeds and Southampton all losing, it was a relatively good weekend on the results front for the Hammers. Three more wins will be enough to secure their Premier League status and the London Stadium faithful would be ecstatic if that could come against the Gunners on Sunday (16 April).
