Injury expert shares West Ham United update ahead of Conference League semi-final v AZ Alkmaar
West Ham United are set to be without three first-team players for their Conference League semi-final clash against AZ Alkmaar, according to injury expert, Ben Dinnery.
The Hammers host the Eredivisie side on Thursday before making the trip to Holland in the return leg on 18 May.
David Moyes is set to be without Gianluca Scamacca and Kurt Zouma for the first leg at the London Stadium (Premier injuries).

Dinnery has also “ruled out” Vladimir Coufal after the Czech Republic international missed the 1-0 win over Manchester United.
Defining
The fixture against the Dutch side will be a defining moment for Moyes. The Conference League presents West Ham with the prospect of Europa League football next season and the chance to finally land some silverware. It’s been a tough campaign, but the win against Manchester United has all but secured West Ham’s Premier League survival.
There’s still an outside chance of relegation, but considering how many teams are fighting for survival, it’s highly likely that West Ham’s 37 points will be enough. Consistency has been the buzzword during the 2022/23 campaign.

On far too many occasions the Hammers have looked like playing themselves into some sort of form before proceeding to lose a run of games. Moyes will be hoping the upcoming European clashes aren’t the start of another losing run.
West Ham have been excellent in the Conference League and have a genuine opportunity to give fans a memorable end to the season. A positive performance and a healthy lead heading into the second leg would be the ideal scenario.
