Injury expert shares West Ham United update ahead of Bournemouth Premier League clash
Angelo Ogbonna is a doubt for West Ham United’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon, according to injury expert, Ben Dinnery.
The Italian powerhouse has missed the Hammers’ last two fixtures with a back injury and Dinnery has rated the 34-year-old’s chances of playing at “50 per cent” (Premier injuries).
Gianluca Scamacca is also out of the fixture against the Cherries after undergoing knee surgery in Italy. However, Nayef Aguerd will be fit and available after featuring in West Ham’s 4-1 win over Gent in the Europa Conference League quarter-final.
Good form
For once, it feels like West Ham have a little bit of momentum. The Conference League win brought back memories from the 2022 Europa League semi-final run and has got some of the fanbase back on side. A win at the weekend will see the Hammers’ Premier League status in a healthy position, with five teams beginning to be cut adrift at the bottom of the table.
However, we have seen this scenario before. The players could head to the South Coast thinking three points are a given, when, in reality, that is far from the case. Bournemouth are also on the brink of securing their Premier League safety and have been excellent under Gary O’Neil in recent weeks.

This will be an extremely stern test and a good measure of just how far West Ham have come under David Moyes in recent weeks. It’s been a tough season for everyone at the London Stadium, but a piece of silverware and a run of wins to end the campaign could see a positive feeling return to East London.
