Injury expert shares Manchester United update ahead of Premier League clash v West Ham United
Manchester United could be without eight first-team players for their Premier League clash against West Ham United on Sunday, according to injury expert, Ben Dinnery.
Lisandro Martinez, Donny van de Beek and Scott McTominay are all long-term absentees from Erik ten Hag’s plans and won’t feature at the London Stadium (Premier injuries).
Raphael Varane, Alejandro Garnacho, Thomas Heaton and Phil Jones have all also been “ruled out” by Dinnery for the clash against David Moyes’ men. Furthermore, Mason Greenwood is currently unavailable for selection.

Pressure on
After the convincing win over Bournemouth, many assumed that West Ham would cruise towards Premier League survival. However, that hasn’t been the case. Three defeats on the spin has seen the pressure pile back on Moyes’ men, with just four points separating themselves and the bottom three.
There’s been an element of bad luck during this losing run. The Hammers should have had a penalty against Liverpool, they scored three times against Crystal Palace and still lost, and in the recent 3-0 defeat to Manchester City, they were comfortable for large parts.

Things don’t get any easier with Manchester United making the trip to East London. Moyes’ men really need a result here. They’ve been unfortunate, but another defeat will see their league status back under threat. The pressure will ramp up heading into the fixtures against Brentford, Leeds and Leicester.
Moyes will be desperate for West Ham’s season to be wrapped up before Leeds make the trip to the London Stadium on 21 May.
