Injury expert shares Brentford update ahead of West Ham United Premier League clash

Brentford are set to be without three players for their Premier League clash against West Ham United on Sunday, according to injury expert, Ben Dinnery.

Defender Pontus Jansson is a long-term absentee from Thomas Frank’s plans and is likely to miss the remainder of the 2022/23 season.

Keane Lewis-Potter is also “ruled out” with a knee injury and the summer signing won’t feature at the Brentford Community Stadium on Sunday (14 May). Another absentee is Christian Norgaard with the Dane out for the season.

Positive ending

West Ham will be hoping for a positive ending to the 2022/23 season. The win over Manchester United has eased the Hammers’ relegation fears. It’s highly unlikely West Ham’s 37-point haul will see them relegated during a campaign that has seen a number of big clubs caught up in the relegation dogfight.

Nevertheless, the fixture against Brentford will be an extremely stern examination of Moyes’ men. inconsistency has been a killer and it’s about time West Ham put a run of wins together in the Premier League. With the Conference League semi-final to come, the end of the season could well be an exciting time.

West Ham

A trophy, European qualification, and Premier League survival would constitute a successful campaign. The pressure was firmly on Moyes a couple of weeks ago, but now the board will have a big decision to make heading into the summer.

Fans have been clamouring for change in the dugout, but if West Ham can end the season strongly, the Scot may still have a future at the London Stadium.
