‘Impeccable’ – Micah Richards gushes over West Ham star Jarrod Bowen

Micah Richards has hailed Jarrod Bowen’s form for West Ham this season as ‘mind-blowing’ after his goal in the 2-2 draw away at Leicester on Sunday.

The Hammers winger made it seven goals in seven games with his first half strike against Leicester, running onto a lofted pass from Issa Diop to blast the ball into the corner.

Richards was working on Sky Sports as a pundit for the game when he praised Bowen’s ‘impeccable’ movement for the goal and said he his form has been ‘mind-blowing’ this season.

“If you look at his positioning just here and the timing of the run is just impeccable,” Richards said.

“Whether he plays on the left or the right, playing on the shoulder his form this season has just been mind-blowing.

“And when he actually goes through there’s still quite a lot to do with the finish. You’ve got the have the composure. It really is a wonderful goal.”

Indispensable

Bowen’s West Ham career started slowly after he signed from Hull, but this season he has become one of the first names on the team sheet for David Moyes.

Alongside Declan Rice and Michail Antonio, he has become one of the most important players at the club and his goals are the reason they’re still in the hunt for a Champions League place.

West Ham

His overall game has developed brilliantly this season, with his ability to play with his back to goal greatly improved.

But the runs from outside to in and the finishing with either foot have been a really key addition to his skillset and something that Moyes should be hugely credited with too.

The Hammers have another gem on their books and the longer they keep him and keeps improving, then the limits to their success are endless.
